The Canadian Federation of Agriculture is pleased to announce that Laurie Karson has joined the CFA in the role of Director of Communications. She began her position on January 7th, 2019.
Laurie is a highly strategic communications professional with over 10 years’ experience overseeing a not for profit trade association. Her experience has also included time serving as a member of a global trade board of directors as well extensive experience in working and presenting to all political and association membership levels. She brings a pragmatic and skillful approach to our membership and staff, particularly at the federal level.
Her new role at CFA will be overseeing and developing the Communications strategy, directing public and media relations, government relations oversight/messaging and working collaboratively with CFA staff and member organizations to ensure CFA objectives are met on a variety of strategic initiatives.
