About the Program

Collaboration starts with a conversation.

Canadian agriculture and agri-food is a $139 billion industry that in 2021 employed 1 in 9 people.

As the unified voice advocating for provincial farm organizations as well as interprovincial and national commodity organizations representing over 200,000 Canadian farmers on the national level, the Canadian Federation of Agriculture has developed strong relationships with industry leaders, elected officials, policy makers and government representatives through ongoing policy dialogues, an annual Day on the Hill and special events.

CFA staff and members are influential participants at national and international events, such as the recent NAFTA talks, where they explore policy issues and industry priorities that affect the Canadian agriculture market.
