CFA Agriculture Awards

In marking our 75th Anniversary, we'll showcase the work of producers and farm groups who strive to raise awareness and foster growth of agriculture in Canada. Enter your nomination for our agriculture awards today. Winners will receive a $500 gift certificate and a trip to Ottawa for the CFA 75th Anniversary banquet.

Award Categories and Criteria

Agricultural Awareness and Education
This award is to be presented to one of the CFA’s 22 member organizations or member of a member organization which features a particularly outstanding campaign or other educational vehicle (e.g. website resource library) aimed at increasing the public’s agricultural awareness and education

Criteria:
•    Organization has developed an educationally motivated campaign aimed at public agricultural awareness
•    The campaign or other vehicle has shown impact, influence, and engage the public
•    Emphasis is placed on a unique, dynamic, and innovative campaign or other education vehicle

Environmental Stewardship
This award will be given to the member organization or individual member of a member organization that has demonstrated a variety of environmentally conscious business practices or policies.

Criteria:
•    A visible organizational commitment to sustainable practices
•    Organization’s goals are compatible with environmental-conscious practices
•    Practices are economically viable and sustainable
•    Focus placed on pro-active conservation policies and practices

Youth Leadership
This is to be presented to an individual farmer (a member of a member organization), 25 years of age or younger who has contributed to the agriculture industry.

Criteria:

•    Individual has strong ties to the agricultural industry and has shown leadership and involvement in the agricultural community
•    Individual has a shown interest and commitment to furthering the agriculture industry in Canada
•    Special consideration given to youth who have developed projects aimed at encouraging youth involvement in agriculture

CFA Photo Contest

Take your camera out into the field and snap your best photos of life on the farm. Photos that depict farming in general or portraits of farmers are welcome. Get creative! This may include landscape photos, portraits of children, and much more. As long as the photo shows technical excellence, originality, and artistic creativity, while reflecting our theme "The Face of Farming", it may be selected as a winner in our contest.

The contest is open to Canadian residents, age 15 or older as of the day of submission.

Winners will receive a $500 gift certificate and a trip to Ottawa for the CFA 75th Anniversary banquet.
